Alexis Jones is a thought leader for the 21st century women’s movement and an expert on Generation Y. A Texas native, Alexis is the founder of the non-profit I AM THAT GIRL, and is an internationally recognized speaker, media personality, and activist. She has been featured as one of AOL’s MAKERS Video Series along with Oprah Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, and Sheryl Sandberg; and she was featured as a life coach on MTV’s hit series MADE. She was highlighted as an Ambassador for L’Oreal’s new STEM initiative, and listed as one of DELL’s #Inspire 100 List, Fast Company’s “Female Trailblazers”, ESPN’s “Pop Culture’s Top Ten,” and recently as a Profiles in Power winner from Austin Business Journal.
Described as endlessly optimistic with a passion for seeing the potential in everything (…for better or worse), Nancy seems eager to squeeze every single drop out of this life. A brand futurist with a drive to help iconic organizations and bold leaders transform to meet the expectations ahead, she naturally weaves ideas together in order to inspire others to take the biggest, brightest path forward. Nancy has served as lead curator for TEDxAustin, is licensee for TEDxAustinWomen, and leads strategic design for HATCH, a creative retreat for many of the country’s most compelling entertainment, science and business innovators.
Sara Hirsh Bordo
A native Texan, Sara has held positions as Executive Director of Interactive Marketing at Paramount Pictures, VP of Digital Marketing at MGM Studios, SVP of Marketing at SocialVibe, and CEO & Co-Founder of NowLive (acquired by Live Media Group in 2013) where she executive produced live events including The Hunger Games Premiere, Macy’s Fashion Night Out, and the Academy Awards Red Carpet. After years of mentoring younger female professionals, Sara founded Women Rising, a consultancy that helps women learn that other women’s success helps all women. She was selected to attend the White House Women Entrepreneurship Conference in 2010, the White House Champions for Change Summit in 2012, and in 2012 and 2013 was nominated for Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneur.
Elizabeth Gore, a native Texan, is the first ever Resident Entrepreneur at the United Nations Foundation bolstering innovation with the United Nations and chairing the UN Foundation’s Global Entrepreneurs Council. She builds global partnerships and cause marketing strategies implemented in programs and campaigns supporting the humanitarian issues of the United Nations. Additionally, she manages partnerships with Fortune 100 companies and with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Ms. Gore was named by People as one of the top 100 Extraordinary Women.
